Simple Method to Download PSiRA Application

Majority of the people use the app store to download applications, if you are one of them you can quickly get the PSiRA within a few seconds. The application is available on the app store of both Android and iOS. I divided the entire procedure into short steps so you can follow my lead.

• Step 1: Open the Play Store or App Store on your cell phone.
• Step 2: Click the search bar and type PSiRA.
• Step 3: You will see the PSiRA app in the recommendations; otherwise, tap the search button.
• Step 4: Open the listing and check the developer name before you do anything else. On Android it must say PSiRA ONLINE SERVICES and on iPhone it must say Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority. This is the one check that tells you the app is genuine, so do not rely on the icon alone.
• Step 5: Tap the Install button and the application will be downloaded.
• Step 6: The app store automatically installs the application on the device once the download is finished.
• Step 7: Go to the desktop of your cell phone, click on the app to launch it and sign in with the profile you already use on the PSiRA website.

If your phone tells you it is not compatible, check the requirement first. The app needs Android 8.0 and up, or iOS 15.5 or later. Older phones will not be able to install it from the store at all.

Simple Method to Download PSiRA App Manually

Some people cannot reach the Play Store, either because the store is broken on their device or because the phone is too old to see the listing. In that case the only remaining route is an APK file from a third party site, and you should know what you are accepting before you go down this road.

PSiRA does not publish an APK anywhere. Every APK you find on a search engine has been copied off the Play Store by somebody else, which means nobody at PSiRA has checked what you are about to install. This app carries your ID number and it takes card payments for renewals, so a tampered copy is not a small problem. If your phone can reach the Play Store at all, use the Play Store. If it cannot, the safer alternative is to skip the app entirely and use the PSiRA website in your mobile browser, because the website gives you the same profile, the same renewal, and the same payment screen.

• Step 1: Search PSiRA Apk on the search engine and pick a well known mirror rather than the first result you see.
• Step 2: Open the website and read the instructions carefully before you download it.
• Step 3: Confirm the package name on the page says com.app.p1310EF. If it says anything else, close the page.
• Step 4: The download button is available below the icon of the application, click it to begin the procedure.
• Step 5: Your browser will warn you that this type of file can harm your device. Tap Download anyway if you accept the risk.
• Step 6: Click the three dots button on the top right side of the screen, then tap Downloads to see the file and the progress.

What Should I Do Next?

• Step 1: Once the download has been completed, go to the Files section on your cell phone.
• Step 2: Open the internal storage and search the downloads folder.
• Step 3: In this folder all the files are available so click the PSiRA file you just downloaded.
• Step 4: Android will block the install and show a message about unknown apps. Tap Settings, then turn on the permission for the browser or the Files app you downloaded with, then go back.
• Step 5: Tap Install and wait for it to finish. Do not tap Cancel while it is running, because that will undo the installation.
• Step 6: When the screen shows Done or Open, tap Open, or go to the desktop and click on the app’s icon to launch it.

What You Can Do Inside the App

The store listing is not very clear about this, so here is what the app is actually for.

• Book an appointment with a PSiRA branch through the Online Booking Management System.
• View the status of a security provider, whether that is an individual security officer or a company. This is the part the general public uses, so you can confirm the guard or the company working at your home or workplace is registered.
• Open your own profile, check your grades and your registration status, and pay for a renewal with a card.
• Print your proof of registration. PSiRA specifically advises employers to use this document rather than an old printed certificate, because it carries a photo of the person.
• Find the nearest office through the navigation system, get notifications about the private security industry, and read the PSiR Act through the document management system.
• Use the AI chatbot, which PSiRA added to the app in June 2025 to handle common queries faster than the call centre.

What the App Cannot Do

This is where most of the confusion sits, and it is worth being direct about it.

Your digital certificate cannot be printed or downloaded from the app. PSiRA has confirmed that a printed certificate is not mandatory and that the digital version is available for viewing only. You can preview it in your profile and the QR code on that preview is what an employer scans to verify you. If you want a physical copy, you pay for an ink certificate through your profile, and you pay again if you lose it. So anything you read about downloading your PSiRA certificate as a PDF from the app is out of date.

The app also will not show your full profile if your annual fees are in arrears. PSiRA states that non compliance means the full profile of the security officer will not be available on the online portal or the app, along with no printed certificate and no ID card. Can I Use the PSiRA App on a PC?

There is no PC version and PSiRA has not released one. You will see guides telling you to install an Android emulator like BlueStacks, and while that technically works, I would not do it for an app that holds your ID number and your card details. Open the PSiRA website in your browser instead. Everything the app does with your profile, the website does too, and on a bigger screen.

If the App Does Not Work

A few problems come up again and again in the store reviews, so these are worth knowing before you assume your registration is the issue.

• It says your credentials are invalid. Reset the password from the website rather than the app, then sign in again. If the reset does not arrive, the account may be tied to an old phone number or email.
• It logs you out during a renewal payment. When you switch to your banking app to approve the payment and come back, the app can drop the session. Sign in again and check your profile before you pay a second time, because the first payment may have gone through even though the app did not show it.
• The app crashes on a specific screen. Clear the cache, restart the phone, then update to the latest version. If you installed an APK rather than the store version, uninstall it and install from the store.
• Nothing loads at all. Several features need a live connection, and PSiRA says outright that these services will not be available until internet access is restored.

Downloading the PSiRA app is simple if you use the app store but in case the store does not work on your cell phone then you can use the manual method to get the app, as long as you understand what you are risking.
